Most of you will be grateful that I didn't think about grabbing the camera this morning. It started out well and is ending well ... I got to listen to Carl and the kids read scriptures as I cooked waffles for breakfast. The kids and I even got all of our morning tasks done. We were running out the door to get the girls to school ... when Peyton threw up in the van. DEEP BREATHE right, my sense of smell has become really strong with this pregnancy. I even successfully got Peyton out of the van without managing to let too much of his stomache contents get on everything else. He laughed and thought it was funny to be sprayed down in the driveway. He thought it was even cooler to stand in the driveway in his underwear and watch me spray his clothes off. We laughed and then hurried about. THANKS to the girls quickly helping me, we succesfully got the girls to school on time.
Prayers are answered ... I was less than 5 minutes away from the house, when my OBGYN's office called to let me know the doctor had been called out for delivery and needed to reschedule my doctor appointment for this morning. WHEW ~ we turned around, called to let Abby know that Peyton would have to miss her awesome birthday party at Pump it Up, his swim teacher to let her know that Peyton would miss swim class today, and also miss karate. We stayed home the entire day, watched movies, finished ALL of the laundry, and managed to get another bankers box of documents scanned and shredded (my project this week).
My dear husband must have felt bad for me ... on his way out of town, he brought me Tropical Smoothie for lunch (one of my favorites). I am not sure if he felt bad that I had to clean up throw up or that as I was hurrying about, I tripped on our stairs and fell. I felt pretty clumsy and silly; but Peyton rushed right over and said, "Mommy are you ok? Do you need anything?". I love how thoughtful he is at only 4 yrs old, but I felt pretty dumb and was really glad noone else was around.
I LOVE MY FAMILY ... even when they are sick. My dream has always been to be a mom, so I will be thankful for having a son to throw up, for kids that create laundry, and for a house that I get to clean. Thank you Carl, for allowing me the blessing of another child. I get more excited every day for the arrival of Preston. I LOVE YOU!!!
Now aren't you glad that I didn't think about grabbing the camera. Although a pic of Peyton standing in the driveway in his underwear would have been priceless.
I am glad you didn't have your camera but I hope Peyton is feeling better! Let me know if you need anything! Love YA
