Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep ~

Last nights Extreme Home Makeover inspired me to blog this post. I want to make sure that family and friends know that I work with the "Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep" organization. A nonprofit organization that provides bereavement portrait art to families that suffer with early infant loss. This includes babies as young as 25 weeks gestation, critically ill, terminally ill or stillborn babies. This allows me a wonderful opportunity to provide priceless portraits to these families who will cherish them for a lifetime. I donate my time & talent to include a sensitive portrait session, editing of photographs, and also provide a CD of reproducible high resolution portraits with signed image release ... all for no cost.

Imagine the hope and expectation of birthing a healthy baby, and then for their life to last only minutes, hours, or days. I am excited about being apart of these families lives, if only for a short time. To give them the treasure of having the portraits of their infants tiny fingers, hands, toes, faces, and don't forget the portraits with mom, dad, grandparents, and/or siblings.

If you know of someone that faces this tough challenge, please pass my information to them as I know that through my services it can help with the healing process.

  1. Tami,
This is so awesome that you're doing this great service. That episode reminded me of when my sister lost her preemie baby and she was so blessed to have a few pictures of him. I have had 3 preemie nephews so this really hits home for our family. Thanks for sharing!

  2. What a wonderfully beautiful and selfless act of service. They (whoever "they" are) always say that the best gift is the gift of self. I would say your time and talents are definitely a "gift of self" Inspiring, especially since I now how busy your life always is.

  3. When I saw that episode I thought of you. I KNEW that you would probably already be involved in something like that. What a beautiful gift you can share with someone. I would definitely want to remember my little one if something like that were to happen to our family
